Prayer Request

We invite you to join us in our prayers. But if you cannot come on some reason, you can request a prayer online using the form below. We will pray for your loved ones who live and for those who have departed during Divine Liturgy and special services.

It is a custom in the Orthodox Church to bring your offering to the Church. You can make your donation through the secure PayPal system (no account is required) or send a check payable to St. Mark Orthodox Christian Church: P.O. Box 1315, Bradenton, FL 34206.

If you desire a special service, please, contact Fr. Jonathan, the Parish Priest, to arrange for one.

A Moleben is an intercessory service conducted by a priest, asking our Saviour, the Mother of God, or one of the saints for assistance with a specific matter (e.g. illness, family difficulties, employment, travel, etc.). This service can be offered on behalf of the living (Orthodox and non-Orthodox).

The Panikhida - is a prayer for departed which is served moment of death and burial, as well as on the third, ninth, and fortieth days after death. Pahikhida is served also on anniversaries of the death of the relatives and the loved one.

An Akathist is a prayer of devotion, thanksgiving, or petition which is sung in honor of Christ, the Mother of God or Saint. The Akathist is prayed standing (this is what "Akathist" means in Greek).
